TEDxPanchgani
Panchgani, a small but cosmopolitan town nestled in the arms of the Sahyadri ranges, has over the years developed into a hub for Education, and a centre of Arts, Culture and Environmental Awareness. It is the perfect mileu for holding a TedX event. This event is aimed at inspiring both local and visiting participants to inspire CHANGE through discussion, soul-searching and a meeting of minds.Through a number of inter-active sessions, TedxPanchgani will bring together a compelling mix of creative and powerful speakers and an aware and discerning audience.
About TEDx
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxPanchgani where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxPanchgani event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

Education
Panchgani is a hub for education, with over 2000 students and 50 schools. Education reforms to make learning more interactive and interesting will shape the future of many kids.
Future Farming
Farming is integral to the local community in Panchgani, with 85% of the strawberries in India being grown here. Thus, sustainable farming practices are crucial for the future of this town.
Empathy
A cosmopolitan town- Panchgani has attracted people from all over the world, many of whom have made it their home. A variety of cultures peacefully coexist and thrive here in harmony.
Technology
With its rich biodiversity, farming culture and large number of students, the application of technology will play a large role in the future development of this place and where it will go.
Environment
Rich biodiversity exists in the hill station of Panchgani and it is also a ‘green zone’, with strict environmental laws. Conserving its flora and fauna is essential to retain its identity.
